"I like drawing all my life. But doing it professionally l started 10 years ago. My inspiration is real life and global events, small things and observing, weather and mythology...
I believe I create movable static. I gave up the use of light and shadow and create volume with color and perspective. I’m inspired by occasional gestures, which humans are doing unintentionally, revealing their emotions. I find inspiration in the subtle discrepancy between the self-presumption of my characters and their actions. There is a lot of psychology in my paintings, they are always about introspection, like a mirror reflect the very essence of events...
Static artist is not interesting. The worst that can happen to an artist is to find their style. You’ve discovered – you dead. And it’s not about Lucian Freud, who hated to leave his studio. I’m talking about that search itself is an art, even if it’s searching for new wrinkles on the body or parquet’s texture."
